DC Distribution Box (DCDB)
The DC Distribution Box is designed to give the solar power plant operator flexibility so they can disconnect and reconnect the battery terminals as well as the inbound solar supply. Here, an MCCB and a fuse with the appropriate rating are employed, depending on the power plant’s and the battery bank’s capacities.
There are two portions of the DCDB: one is for solar energy, and the other is for batteries.
Solar Section/ Battery Section
In the solar section, the input connectors receive the incoming terminals from the MJB, and the conduction channel then passes through the MCB and a suitable HRC fuse chosen in accordance with the system capacity and the panel used in the power plant. The incoming terminals from the battery bank are treated the same way.
Monitoring Section of DCDB
The DCDB is provided with a digital Ampere Hour meter to observe the charging/discharging currents of the battery i.e. Ah of the Battery.
This meter is intended to work only on the AC external supply from the ACDB feeder.
